If you fancy your hand at sand castle building then the place for you this week is the Rosscarbery Family Festival or join the people of Bantry and some trad masters in action under the artistic direction of Martin Hayes

For something a bit more explosive, the Youghal Medieval Festival promises to deliver battle re-enactments, medieval cookery displays, archery, and birds of prey this August

As part of National Heritage Week, you can be sure to find something of interest for your right brain in Cork City and Skibereen from August 17th to 25th.

Sail up the sloop John B at the Heir Island Regatta in aid of Baltimore Lifeboat for the county Cork Island while the Cobh People’s Regatta takes place this Sunday.
