Blarney Stone

God is good but never dance in a small boat Never short of a few words of wisdom, most Irish people will flatter or cajole their way out of some situation at some stage relying on a bit of blarney though all may not have kissed the Blarney Stone itself (and origin of the term).

Built into the walls of Blarney Castle, Blarney in the 15th century, just outside Cork city, kissing the stone allegedly endows the kisser with great eloquence.

Not for the faint hearted, with some degree of agility and tolerance for heights helpful as to actually kiss the stone you must make your way to the castle’s peak, then lean over backwards on the edge. With the helpful aid of an assistant you will be happy to know.
