It all began with a cup of tea, well maybe more than a cuppa.
William J Kelly, the decided to build tearooms in 1895 on a site in Rosslare running the hotel until the roaring twenties until his son, Nicholas, took over. Nicholas managed to combine his interest in filmmaking and bird watching with his films shown on a regular basis to guests in the hotel. Today the movie menu is a little more varied. As is the choice of tea leaves.
After the emergency, Billy Kelly, grandson of the founder took and set in train decades of development and professional management that saw the hotel ride out the many economic ups and downs right through to the fourth generation and the hotel’s revelopment and ready to continue into the 21st in fine fettle.
