Boasting a distinctive architectural style having started in a former life as the headquarters of the Ulster Bank, the hotel is a Grade A listed original building at the heart of Belfast’s mercantile and commercial centre. Local associations include some with Jonathan Swift (who went on to become Dean of St. Patrick’s Cathedral in Dublin) after unsuccessfully wooing a local girl. Undaunted and perhaps influenced by the nearby Lilliput Farm, Swift discovered equal treasures in the land of little people he created.
A perfect base to enjoy the Belfast Taste & Music Fest, the Waterfront Theatre, Grand Opera House, Queen’s University, Belfast Castle and last but not least, the many Titanic tours on offer (celebrating a centenary since it fatefully left Belfast harbour in 1912).
