Take a view o'er the mountains, fine sights you'll see there
You'll see the high rocky mountains on the west coast of Clare
The towns of Kilkee and Kilrush can be seen
From the high Rocky slopes of the Cliffs of Dooneen
Whether it's the view out across the wild Atlantic beyond the ran islands from the headlands atop the
Cliffs of Moher or the month long matchmaking festival at Lisdoon, a day strolling around Bunratty Castle and Folk Park, you will be spoiled for choice in Clare.
For traditional music lovers, the annual
Willie Clancy Music Festival held in Miltown Malbay is a must though you will find live music in many of the pubs in the region from Ennis to Ennistymon, Lehinch to Lisdoon, from Kilkee to Kilrush and onto Loop Head.
For the more adventurous the surf at Lehinch and even more challenging the crashing waves to be found off Doolin (from where you can take boat trips to the Aran Islands or along the cliffs) to the perfect Aille, not for the faint hearted.
Further south the Aillwee caves, with their waterfall, bear bones and underground rivers provide a unique visitor experience.
